    From The Kitchen of Capsicum : A Cup of Warm Delight

    There is something to be said for having a warm magical drink to revive your spirits in winter. This lovely spiced kashmiri tea, kahwa is a warm treat to end a cold winter day. Kahwa is a traditional green tea preparation made with exotic spices and kashmiri saffron.
    Capsicum invites you to come and warm-up winter with special Kahwa at Capsicum Restaurant.

    Recipe of Kashmiri Kahwa
    3 Cup of Water
    1 Tsp Kahwa Tea Leaves
    1 Cinnamon stick
    1 Clove
    2 Cardamom Pods (crushed coarsely)
    1-2 Saffron Strands
    5-6 Almonds (blanched and chopped)
    Sugar to taste


    Boil 3 cups of water along with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and pour over the tea. Leave to infuse over a very low flame for 10 minutes.
    Meanwhile, dissolve saffron in a little water by rubbing it gently.
    Strain the tea and add the saffron liquid together with almonds.
    Sweeten if you like and serve hot.
